Terrebonne Genealogical Society is a 501c3 nonprofit in Terrebonne Parish, Louisiana. Our mission is to promote the research and preservation of family histories in the area known as the “Old Lafourche Interior Parish,” which includes the areas along Bayou Lafourche in Assumption and Lafourche Parishes, and its tributaries in Terrebonne Parish. We focus on families from a diverse range of ethnicities, all blending together to form the gumbo that is our bayou culture. We are proud of our significant contributions to the research and knowledge of our history, as well as the passionate attitudes and work of our past and current members. We also look forward enthusiastically to a positive and healthy future.
